Dubbed as 'The friendly village in the hills above Wellington', Wadestown has a fantastic close knit community. There are fabulous views of Wellington city and harbour. The main street has a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and a library, and it is a short bus trip or drive down to the city. It is a great area for young families as there is a community creche, toy library, playgroup, plunket and primary school. For keen bush walkers, the Wilton Bush and Otari native offer great walks nearby.
